Lawrence R. “Larry” Bowhall, 57, of Brewerton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday. Born April 25, 1955, in Syracuse, he was the son of Rosanne Tessier and the late Glenn B. Bowhall and was a graduate of Corcoran High School.

Larry was a machinist with Lipe Rollway and Carrier Corp for many years. He later drove truck for Barden Homes. Larry was a member of Clay Sportsmen’s Club, where he received many awards, including the 2008 Sportsman of the Year Award. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He bred and showed Old English sheepdogs.

He is survived by his daughter, Kellee Thomas, and granddaughter Isabella Orlean, both of San Francisco, CA; his mother, Rosanne Bowhall Lahn of Melbourne, FL; eight brothers and sisters, Bill (Marcia) Bowhall of Minoa, Kathy (Rick) Robson of Tucson, AZ, Karen (Marc) Campbell of West Monroe, Tom Bowhall of Melbourne, FL, John (Jean) Bowhall of Marcellus, Richie Bowhall of CO, Gary Bowhall of Brewerton and Bob (Denise) Bowhall of Melbourne, FL; 18 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his beloved dogs, Greta and Cookie.

Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, with a funeral service to follow, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse.
